What is it exactly that you do?

I work with people to achieve mental health wellness. Being somatically trained, I work with the body and mind relationship, as well as the nervous system, in order to achieve wellness and quality of life.

What is therapeutic yoga?

Therapeutic yoga can focus on either the body (restoration or rehabilitation) or the mind. I use yoga as a very powerful tool of somatic therapy. The somatic approach, based on the works and teachings of leading psychologists, is a body based therapy. This means that our approach will be focusing on you as a whole, working on your nervous system and building the bridge between your body and your mind.

What if I have never done yoga before?

There are many types of yoga. What I do is not flow, or difficult poses that focus on flexibility. We use yoga as a means to an end. There are poses that help us regulate our nervous system and alleviate stress reactions and anxiety. We will also use breathwork and mindfulness techniques to regulate and relax, before we start processing.

Who do you work with?

My training has been trauma and anxiety focused, and I have been mostly working with high intensity professionals. That being said, anyone who is ready to put in the work to manage their anxiety is welcome!
